Services
- Below you will find the choices of garden design services that will take your garden in just ‘the outside space’ to a cherished heaven. Services are done in person in and around South West London and online for the rest of the UK. For the latter, I will send you a questionnaire and step-by-step guide that, with pictures of your current garden, will inform the design that I will produce for your garden.
- A – Garden Design Package
- This is the option to go for if you want me to take a holistic approach to your garden and work on achieving the best layout, choice of materials and planting that will together make up a garden that not only looks beautiful year around and for years to come, with a planting that flourishes in its environment, but that is also meaningful to you and suits your life style .
- This service starts with an onboarding call (online service) or with an assessment visit (in person) in which I will discuss with you your aspirations for the garden and its strengths and constraints and possibly carry out a measurements survey (Recording the dimensions of the garden is very important as a starting point for the new design. If you have a small and simple garden, which is mainly flat I can carry this out – although a professional topographical survey is recommended as it is more accurate than mine. If your garden is big, has a complex layout and/or has slopes, then a professional topographical survey will be needed and I can advise you on a professional to do so).
- Based on data that I gather on the visit, our chat and your answers to a questionnaire that I will give you, I then do my research and produce an Outline design for your garden (2D) and send it over to you with 3D visuals to get your feedback on it. We then have a video call to discuss it, and based on this, I make minor changes to the 2D plan in one round of revisions (major changes and extra rounds of revisions can be paid for as and add on to the service).
- Once everything is agreed upon, I then prepare the documents that make up the Design Package (which include Setting out plan, Materials and Construction suggestions, Furniture/Furnishings suggestions and Planting Plan, schedule, mood board and seasonal charts). This service starts at £1700 for the online and £2100 for the in person (price depends on size of the garden and added complexities). For the in person service, I offer an optional add on Design Monitoring service in which I will be available to you and the landscaper contractor via email during the build to provide solutions to any situation that might come to light (very common once they start digging to find old foundations etc. that require tweaks in the design, or for a plant or material to be out of stock etc) and will carry out an agreed number of visits at key stages of the process (usually 2X, but depending on the project, it could be more) to ensure that the design is being upkept. Please note that this is an add on service and is not included in the Design Package price. If you are interested, please ask for a quote (starting price: £800).

- B- Assessment Visit
- The Assessment visit is the first start for either the Concept or the Full Design Package services, but it can also be a stand-alone service. This is a 1h visit, in which I will come to your garden and will discuss with you your aspiratios, potentials, any constraints for a new design, any regulations that might apply, strategies and initial ideas for a new design, providing my professional knowledge and also discussing which Package would be most suitable for you based on our discussion. After this visit I will send you a proposal with a quote for the most appropriate design Package based on our discussion. If you do wish to move forward with either a Concept or a Full Design Package, the amount paid for the visit will be deducted fromt the fee paid for the Package service. The price for this Assessment visit is £250 for gardens up to 30 minutes away from me. A surcharge applies for gardens that are further away. Please note that no design documents, drawings, plans, or layouts are produced as a result of the standalone Assessment visit service and that any advise given is preliminary and might need further research or the input of other professional such as arboriculturists, drainage/structural engineer, landscping contractor etc.
- C- Planting Plan (stand alone)
- A Planting Plan is a great choice if you want to leave plant selection to a professional! Your needs, tastes and specific garden conditions will again be taken into consideration. A Planting Plan will provide you with a Plant List, indicating how many of each plant you will need (which makes it easy for you or the contractor, depending on who will carry out the planting), as well as pictures of the chosen plants to help you visualise the selection and a seasonal chart so that you know what to expect from each plant. It also include suggested maintenance tasks for each plant. Sometimes, refreshing your garden borders and beds can make a big difference, and purchasing a Planting Plan as a standalone service is a very good option in this situation.
Fabulous! Deborah has just given me the vision and concept needed for my garden. We moved into our home 5 years ago, which came with basically a reclaimed field…. Although we have made small changes to our garden we have lacked the vision of how to change an undulated field into a garden. I contacted Deborah who turned around a fabulous design in two weeks to match the items I had asked for. This will be a project we take a few years to achieve, but can now see the overall plan. Very reasonable price and great service.
