Services
- Below you will find our choice of garden design services. Services are done in person in and around South West London and online for the rest of the UK. For the latter, I will send you a questionnaire and step-by-step guide that, with pictures of your current garden, will inform the design that I will produce for your garden.
- A – Concept Design Package
- This option is good for clients with a flat garden (no slopes) who would like to go down the self-build route or that perhaps would like more freedom in the way that the design will look when implemented. It culminates with a document called Concept Design Package containing setting out plan, materials ideas/suggestions and planting plan related documents. This service is done in two steps and starts at £2100 for the online and £2300 for the in person (price depends on size of the garden and added complexities). Please note that I do not advise on this service for gardens with any slopes on the terrain and/or that are in conservation areas or any other areas where specific restrictions apply, as, in this case, the construction drawings are very important, and therefore the Full Design Package is advised. - B – Full Design Package
- This option culminates with a document called Full Design Package containing setting out plan, materials specifications, construction drawings and planting plan documents, which provides a blueprint for contractors to quote for the job and to build/landscape/plant your new garden following best practices and adhering to the design. This is a very good option if you are ready to have your garden completely transformed as the documents in the Full Design Package will make the professional build/landscaping process much smoother and compliant with the design. This service is done in two steps and starts at £2900 for the online and £3100 for the in person (price depends on size of the garden and added complexities such as presence of considerable slopes, garden being in a conservation area or any other areas where specific restrictions apply and if you would like to have a pond added to it etc). - C- Assessment Visit
- The Assessment visit is the first start for either the Concept or the Full Design Package services, but it can also be a stand-alone service. This is a 1h visit, in which I will come to your garden and will discuss with you your aspiratios, potentials, any constraints for a new design, any regulations that might apply, strategies and initial ideas for a new design, providing my professional knowledge and also discussing which Package would be most suitable for you based on our discussion. After this visit I will send you a proposal with a quote for the most appropriate design Package based on our discussion. If you do wish to move forward with either a Concept or a Full Design Package, the amount paid for the visit will be deducted fromt the fee paid for the Package service. The price for this Assessment visit is £250 for gardens up to 30 minutes away from me. A surcharge applies for gardens that are further away. Please note that no design documents, drawings, plans, or layouts are produced as a result of the standalone Assessment visit service and that any advise given is preliminary and might need further research or the input of other professional such as arboriculturists, drainage/structural engineer, landscping contractor etc.
- D- Planting Plan (stand alone)
- A Planting Plan is a great choice if you want to leave plant selection to a professional! Your needs, tastes and specific garden conditions will again be taken into consideration. A Planting Plan will provide you with a Plant List, indicating how many of each plant you will need (which makes it easy for you or the contractor, depending on who will carry out the planting), as well as pictures of the chosen plants to help you visualise the selection and a seasonal chart so that you know what to expect from each plant. It also include suggested maintenance tasks for each plant. Sometimes, refreshing your garden borders and beds can make a big difference, and purchasing a Planting Plan as a standalone service is a very good option in this situation.
Fabulous! Deborah has just given me the vision and concept needed for my garden. We moved into our home 5 years ago, which came with basically a reclaimed field…. Although we have made small changes to our garden we have lacked the vision of how to change an undulated field into a garden. I contacted Deborah who turned around a fabulous design in two weeks to match the items I had asked for. This will be a project we take a few years to achieve, but can now see the overall plan. Very reasonable price and great service.
