Services

  • Below you will find our choice of garden design services. Services are done in person in and around South West London and online for the rest of the UK. For the latter, I will send you a questionnaire and step-by-step guide that, with pictures of your current garden, will inform the design that I will produce for your garden.
  • A – Full Garden Design Package
  • This option culminates with a document called Garden Design Package containing setting out plan, materials specifications, construction drawings planting plans etc, which provides a blueprint for your new garden. This service is done in two steps:
    • 1- The in person service starts with an assessment visit, in which I will gather information about your garden that is vital for a good new design and about you, so that anything that I design is not only beautiful, but is also meaningful to and works for you. For online designs, I will send you a questionnaire and ask for pictures and we will have a video call for the initial briefing and assessment. I also need a topographical survey of your garden, which will accurately record the garden’s dimensions, levels, any existing features and trees etc., to be able to start the design work – I am happy to work with any professional topographical surveys that have been carried out recently and can also advise on surveyors that can carry this out for you. With the survey and my assessment details in hand, I then start my research and produce and send over to you a Concept Plan, which consists of a 2D layout of my proposed design for your garden and 3D visuals so that you can envision it and give me your feedback on it in a video call.
    • 2- Based on your feedback on this, I then make any changes needed in one round of revisions (one round is included in the package, additional rounds can be bought separatelly for an additional fee if needed) and then produce all the documents that form the Design Package, which is needed for contractors to carry out the build/planting. For in person services, I can recomend reputable landscaping groups and can also source the plants and monitor the build/planting process for you for additional fees.
  • B- Planting Plan
  • A Planting Plan is a great choice if you want to leave plant selection to a professional! Your needs, tastes and specific garden conditions will again be taken into consideration. A Planting Plan will provide you with a Plant List, indicating how many of each plant you will need (which makes it easy for you or the contractor, depending on who will carry out the planting), as well as pictures of the chosen plants to help you visualise the selection and a seasonal chart so that you know what to expect from each plant. Sometimes, refreshing your garden borders and beds can make a big difference, and purchasing a Planting Plan as a standalone service is a very good option in this situation.

Fabulous! Deborah has just given me the vision and concept needed for my garden. We moved into our home 5 years ago, which came with basically a reclaimed field…. Although we have made small changes to our garden we have lacked the vision of how to change an undulated field into a garden. I contacted Deborah who turned around a fabulous design in two weeks to match the items I had asked for. This will be a project we take a few years to achieve, but can now see the overall plan. Very reasonable price and great service.
